Job Summary
The Assistant Manager, Guest Experience is a key part of the store leadership team. They lead from the floor to build, manage, and develop team members and create a culture of belonging, growth, and exceptional guest experiences in line with company values and directives.
Core Responsibilities Of The Job
Leadership and People Management
- Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment that supports and engages all team members.
- Engage team members by helping them understand how their work supports store success and lululemons goals.
- Implement the Store Managers People vision and cascade it to the team.
- Support Store Manager in hiring a strong, diverse team with varied experiences and skills.
- Support ongoing learning and development with feedback, coaching, mentoring, and regular development check-ins.
- Lead performance management activities, including feedback, recognition, documentation, and addressing performance concerns.
- Address employee concerns and know when to partner with internal support for action.
Guest Experience And Community
- Lead an exceptional guest experience on the floor through assessment of guest connection and product education, providing feedback and coaching to address gaps.
- Provide retail floor leadership to ensure efficient floor coverage and operations.
- Resolve guest feedback and emergent issues, including escalations, to "make it right" for guests.
Operations, Product, and Strategy
- Partner with managers to review business data (e.g., P&L) to inform planning processes such as quarterly reviews, sales planning, and hiring strategy.
- Maintain strategic product presentation/visual merchandising and coordinate restock, destock, or minor visual changes.
- Open and close the store according to procedures.
- Adhere to people safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws or regulations.
Budget Responsibility
- Accountable for delegated aspects of controllable budget and labor hours.
People Management
- Leadership role responsible for a subset of store employees as delegated by the Store Manager.

Job Requirements
Eligibility
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the store is located.
- Must be able to travel to the assigned store with reliable transportation.
Schedule/Availability
- Work may include early mornings, days, evenings, late nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Experience
- 1 year people management experience.
- 1 year leadership experience, including managing business operations and projects or processes.
Job Assets (Nice to have)
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; Bachelors degree or equivalent is a plus.
- Retail or sales management experience; recruiting, hiring, or training experience.
Work Context
- Work occurs in an environment with bright lights and loud music.
- Work is done as part of a team and independently.
- May involve conflict resolution or deescalation of guest issues.
- Involves meeting new people and building community relationships.
- May involve computer or virtual work.
- Typically requires moving around a store; may include sitting for extended periods.
- Occasional handling of boxes up to 30 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits Package
Base Pay Range: $27.31 - $36.95/hour, subject to location minimums
Target Bonus: 25%
Total Target Base Pay Range: $34.14 - $46.19/hour
